Lionel Richie's third album for Epic marked a nice change in musical genre, with a more soulful sound. In fact, he shifted his focus away from the R&B sound of the previous two albums towards the soul/pop sound of 1970's Los Angeles and Welcome Home. Like its predecessor, it included 5 singles (4 of which they released), with the biggest of these being the title track. It was a POP/jazz drenched ballad, #1 USA on Billboard chart in its first three weeks of release. In 2008, the album was ranked #32 on VH1's list of the Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2010, Rolling Stone Magazine called it: \"a bittersweet pastiche of Americana that recalls mid-seventies R&B and pop, with smoothly arranged arrangements and soulful vocals\". 'Lionel Richie's Home' was a mediocre album, but not completely unmemorable. There were a couple of big hits, like 'All Night Long'(US #1), 'Make A Move On Me'(US #29), 'Jealous'(US #66), 'Too Much Passion'(US #3) and 'Stuck On You'(US #16.). 'Any Port In The Storm', 'Colors Of The Wind', and 'Stone Cold Situation' were also released as singles, but none of those made much of an impact as did the first two. The various years that 'Lionel Richie In Concert' was a tour it spawned four live albums, some of which were very good, such as 'In Concert 1981' (but the other three were lackluster at best). The latter was nominated for an awards thing or something, but it lost. The tour began in July of 1981, and 'I'm Still Livin'' came out in 1984. It did well and won a Grammy (jazz album), and it didn't do that well much.
