Introduction: Tensile testing is the most commonly used method to analyze the strength of a civil engineering safety glass. Physical results are typically expressed in terms of the tensile failure stress (Tfs), which is obtained by dividing the maximum load by the cross-section of the specimen (see Rec. 3d max crack 2009 445 § 482.1). The tensile testing methodology has been established and standardized by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) (ASTM 1999). The specimen geometry is standardized as well in view of the systematic application for site specific design. A single-edge notched tensile test, as defined by ASTM 1999, is used to compare the strength of commercial safety glass reflectors developed within the cooperation of academia and industry (Harrison et al. 2010; Pappas et al. 2012; Tranquilli et al. 2014).
United States v. Zouckowski, 571 F.3d 1130, 1138 (10th Cir. 2009). A firearms expert's opinion in this regard that essential components of a firearm are unique and necessary to the firearm is insufficient to establish that a firearm had a nonstandardized meaning. 7211a4ac4a
